.Notes from todays class 13 12 21

 The best opening title scenes I have seen so far well the most effective ones are the ones without characters or dialogue this is good as with a low or small budget the acting can sometimes hinder / in compromise the show as it may look wooden or just outright fake. This is especially true with ones where stabbing or shooting is in the scene as it is seemed to be very weak. I think the most effective are those with dark or maybe light starts which then switch tempo. If also there is some kind of development weather it be character or not it makes for a great opening scene.  If the atmosphere then changes from dark to light it shows depth. And weather or not it is everyday or paranormal. The main genre appeals is thriller or action as its the easiest to create tension with violence. Such as copse hill as it feels like a title sequence where as the lodger is a whole short movie in its self thus showing that they misunderstood the assignment.

Basically saying - whatever you think you create - you haven’t someone has already played or done it in a 

different way eg signer (artist) or painter (artist). 

‘Steal like an artists’ Is to acknowledge that all stories - and by extension all works of art are a product of 

tributary influences. 

Hot fuzz - comedic movie / action thriller murder mystery - they are all quite action packed or funny /  

thrillers / mysteries I think there is a large link between most of the ‘arts’ as they are the kind of movies / 

books that entise me.

Question game - question is what if?

HOT fuzz turned out the police force where the crooked ones and not the villagers who in the movies caused all the murders. Concluding that those that are also meant to be so innocent are actually convicted and killed by the other so called ‘innocents’ a switch to what happened in the movie.

Kyle is an American designer renowned for creating title sequences for small or large companies with many visual effects. He has produced more than 350 title sequences for various company’s meaning he is world know for his snazzy designs. He uses a array of effects to creat dark and moody or happy and cheery opening sequences. An example of one of his most famous peace’s of work is spider man 1 and 2 with toby maguire as the first MCU spider man. Which was made in 2002, which so far has been the highest growing out of all the spider man movies - $820,000,000. Toby maguire within that huge sum was given 4 million dollars.
